The Board and Executive Director of a large non-profit organization established in 1975 and located in Chicago were grappling with the development and implementation of a strategic plan which would position them for future growth through program innovation and organizational efficiency. Of great concern was the development of board and staff skills/behaviors necessary for the implementation of the new strategy.
